A Farmington Hills resi- dent, Dr. Shaw was born in Manchester, England, graduated from Tufts College Dental School in Boston and served in the armed forces in World War I. Dr. Shaw utilized hypnosis in his dental practice. He wrote two books and lectured on the subject.. Dr. Shaw was past president of Alpha Omega fraternity, a life member of the Detroit District Dental Society and a Fellow of In- ternational College of De- ntists. He leaves his wife, Frances; a son, Dr. Rodney; two daughters, Mrs. David (Shirley) Levy and Mrs. Harry (Muriel) Casselman of Encino, Calif.; 11 grand- children and ten great-grand- children.
