Sen. Metzenbaum Will
Kick Off AJCampaign

Sen. Howard M. Metzen-
baum (D-Ohio) will be keyn-
ote speaker at the Jewish
Welfare Federation's Cam-
paign Kickoff for Campaign
Leadership, 9 a.m. Sept. 14,
at the Maple/Drake Jewish
Community Center.
In addition to the senator's
remarks, the program will
feature workshops on local
agencies, the allocations
process, overseas needs and
solicitor training- for the
novice or pro.
Metzenbaum has built an
outstanding record since corn-
ing to the Senate in 1974. He
is now its ranking Jewish
member. A staunch supporter
of Israel and human rights,
he has a long history of in-
volvement in the Jewish
community of Cleveland,
where he was an attorney
and newspaper publisher
prior to entering politics.
With Cleveland's Jewish
federation, Sen. Metzenbaum
was active in its campaigns
and served on its board and
executive committee. He was

Jewish Community Relations
Committee and was national
vice president of the Ameri-
can Jewish Congress.
Admission to the event is
by invitation only to Allied
Jewish Campaign con-
tributors of $850 and over.

Campaign Leadership

2 - To Return Custom or Duty Cost of 10% on the
1st $1000 and 6.9% of any balance; they
must, again, mark UP their Canadian Fur Price
10% on the first $1000 and 6.9% on the bal-
ance.

3 - They must charge you 7% Canadian Imperial
Sales Tax. You must then fill out a form and
send it to the Canadian Imperial Government
for your duty and sales tax refund, which they
claim takes a minimum of 10 days, realistically
