He was born in Detroit and attended Central High School and Wayne State University, where he earned his law de- gree. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. Miller is a founder of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice; a trustee of the Melvin Belli Society and a member of the Executive Committee, Wayne State Law Alumni Associa- tion. Active with the Assoocia- tion of Trial Lawyers of America, he has been a member of its Executive Committee since 1982 and served as the Association's vice-president 1984-1985.
