Rabbi Marc S. Blumenthal
has been appointed assistant
rabbi at Temple Beth El.
Rabbi Blumenthal was or-
dained on June 1, at the He-
brew Union College — Jewish
Institute of Religion in New
York, from which he also holds
a Master of Arts degree in He-
brew literature. He also
earned a Bachelor of Arts De-
gree in History and Religion
from Trinity College in
Hartford, Connecticut, where
he was the President's Fellow
in Religion and the Editor-
in-Chief of the College weekly.
Prior to attending Trinity Col-
lege, he lived in Munster,
West Germany as an Ameri-
can Field Service exchange
student and attended the
Ratsgymnasium.
He served most recently as
the rabbi of Community Tem-
ple Beth Ohr in Brooklyn,
N.Y.
Rabbi Blumenthal will be
involved extensively in pro-
gramming for youth, singles
and seniors, as well as expand-
ing the caring community con-
cept.
