Mrs. Keating is the director of
The Lighthouse, an emergency
needs program. As the director
she has used her office to assist
other agencies obtain grants,
such as the one to bring a teen-
age mother residential program
to the Women's Survival Center
program.
She is chairman of the board
of directors of Barat House, a
residential placement center for
teen-age girls and child abuse
prevention.
The recipients of the "Cele-
; bration of Women" Award were
chosen by a panel consisting of:
Maryanne Mahaffey, Detroit
City Council; Dr. Alice R.
McCarthy, educational consul-
tant; Judith -Miller, 65th Dis-
trict state representative; and
Vivian Shapiro, associate pro-
fessor of social work, University
of Michigan.
The Spiritual Adoption Pro-
gram of Naamat USA is the
sponsor of this award.
The annual Spiritual Adop-
tion Luncheon will be held on
July 31 at noon at the South-
', field Hilton Hotel.
