The institute, directed by the Rev. James. R. Lyons, encourages dialogue among youth groups, clergy and reli- gious groups. It serves as an educational re- source center for the study of Christian-Jewish dialogue, sponsors a speakers bureau, ecumenical study tours to Israel and Europe, and reaches youth through discussion seminars and retreats. The Institute houses a re- source library at its headquar- ters in the North Congrega- tional Church, 26275 North- western Highway, in Southfield, which is open to scholars and others interested in Jewish- Christian studies.
