Elena Dublanskaya, a Rus-
sian refusenik, will sit as an
honorary board member of the
Greater Detroit Section, Na-
tional Council of Jewish
Women.
The "new member" was voted
in at the section's June board
meeting and was announced by
Public Affairs Vice President
Ann Zousmer of Bloomfield
Hills.
Elena is a member of the
Moscow Women's Group and has
participated in its activities. She
has been refused permission to
emigrate to Israel on the
grounds that her parents and
three older siblings wish to re-
main in the Soviet Union and
that one of her relatives pos-
sesses "state secrets." She sub-
sequently lost her teaching posi-
tion.
Section members will write
monthly letters to Elena on be-
half of N.C.J.W.

New Appointments
At Sinai Hospital

Sinai Hospital has announced
three appointments to its staff:
T. Allen Gigliotti was named
director of biomedical engineer-
ing. Sherryl Nufer was ap-
pointed director of human re-
source development, a newly
formed department.
Susan Ochman has been tap-
ped to serve as coordinator of
Sinai Hospital's employee assis-
tance program. Ochman has
been on staff at Sinai since 1984
as a medical social worker in
the department of social serv-
ices.
