American Jewish Committee
elected David B. Jaffe as its
president.
An attorney, Jaffe received a
Bachelor of Arts degree with hon-
ors and honors in economics from
the College of the University of
Chicago in 1978.
He attended the University of
Chicago Law School, where he
was a research assistant to Ed-
ward H. Levi, formerly Attorney
General of the United States, an
associate editor of the University
of Chicago Law Review and re-
ceived a Juris Doctor degree with
honors in 1981.
Jaffe is a member of the Ameri-
can Jewish Committee's national
task force on chapter structure.
He also serves on the education
committee of New Detroit, Inc.,
the board of directors of the Jesuit
Program for Living and Learning,
as vice chairman of the political
awareness committee of the
Young Adult Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit, and on the
National Alumni Cabinet of the
University of Chicago.
He has served on the board of
trustees of Roeper City and Coun-
try School. He is a member of the
State Bar of Michigan and the
Federal and Detroit Bar Associa-
tions.
