MARGARET ALPERT, 66,
died-June 21. She leaves her hus-
band, Abraham; two sons,
Michael and Martin; a brother,
Dr. Gerald Brickner; a sister, Mrs.
Roslyn Holtz; and two grand-
children.

MYER BURNSTEIN, 71, former
Detroiter of Seal Beach, Calif.,
died June 16. Survived by his
wife, Selma; three sons, Allen,
Arnold and Ronald, all of Califor-
nia; a sister, Dorothy Berkowitz of
Maryland; a brother, Samuel of
Southfield; and three grand-
children. Interment California.

GARY S. COHEN, 36, died June
21. He leaves his wife, Dr. Della
"Didi"; two sons, Justin and
Adam; a daughter, Kristie; his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allan
(Laura) Cohen; a brother,
Michael; and a sister, Mrs.
Michael (Carole) Zahorchak.

HARRY GOLD, 86, died June
21. He leaves a daughter, Con-
stance Nathenson of Beachwood,
Ohio; and seven grandchildren.

REBECCA GOLDMAN, 84, of
Passaic, N.J., died June 21. Sur-
vived by two daughters, Mrs.
Harry (Sophie) Komisar of South-
field and Mrs. Ralph (Ann) Zir-
kind of Silver Spring, Md.; a son,
Ben of the Bronx, N.Y.; six grand-
children and nine great-grand-
children. Interment Passaic.

MORDKO GOTMAN, 83, died
June 18. He leaves his wife, Liba;
a son, Dr. Abraham; a daughter,
Mrs. Ruben (Jaya) Iania of Israel;
a brother, Moe Goodman; and four
grandchildren.

FRIEDA PULTUSKER, 78, of
Oak Fark, died June 22. Survived
by her husband, Samuel; a son,
William; and two grandchildren.

FLORENCE SCHEY, 76, of
Southfield, died June 20. Sur-
vived by a son, Robert D.; a
brother, Morie Nelson; and two
grandchildren.

BENJAMIN SCHWEID, 73,
died June 19. He leaves his wife,
Gladys; a daughter, Sharon Gach;
a son, Dr. Elliott of Warwick, R.I.;
and three grandchildren.

HYMAN "HY" SLAVIN, 82,
former Detroiter of Houston, Tex.,
died June 21. He leaves his wife,
Rose; a son, Sheldon of Far-
mington Hills; a brother, Sidney
of Houston; three sisters, Sarah of
Southfield, Mrs. Mary Leider of
Miami Beach, Fla., and Mrs.
Stella Himmelstein of West
Bloomfield; and two grand-
children.

Sam Freedman

Sam Freedman, president of
C.F. Painting Co., died June 25 at
age 76.
Born in Lodz, Poland, Mr.
Freedman came to the U.S. in
1948. He was the president for
eight years of Einstein Lodge of
B'nai B'rith, an active fund raiser
for B'nai B'rith's Youth and Serv-
ices Appeal, and a member of
American Red Magen • David for
Israel and Shaarit Haplaytah.
Mr. Freedman is survived by
his wife, Blanche; a son, Harvey of
Oregon; and a daughter, Cheryl
Freedman-Hordes.
