A local orientation session was held for Detroit participants in Project
"Otzma" (strength) prior to their departure for Israel in August.
Jonathon Ross, Beth Phillips, Mathew May, Eric Berman, Mike Reiter,
Suzanne Nussbaum, and Scott Mittelman will join 60 other young
adults from across North A merica to spend a year learning about Israeli
society and doing public service work. Project Otzma is sponsored by the
Jewish Welfare Federation.
