Counseling Service
Due For Seniors

The senior adult department of
the Jewish Community Center
announces a new service at the
Jimmy Prentis Morris Branch.
With the help of the Jewish Fam-
ily Service, social workers
Roseanne Sedler and Sandy
Hyman will provide information,
referral and counseling services
on Wednesdays and Fridays from
10 to 2 p.m. in the exercise room of
the JPM.
On July 10, the Social Service
Club, which supports several Is-
raeli organizations, will begin its
29th year at the JPM. Sophie
Hoffman has been its president
for the past ten years. On July 1,
the club will donate $1,000 to Is-
rael in honor of the club's 28th
birthday.
A party will be held at noon
July 15th in Jaffe Hall of the JPM
Branch. The party will feature
live entertainment and refresh-
ments. The public is invited at a
charge. For information, contact
Helen Singer, 967-4030.
Dr. Augustin Fosu, assistant
professor of economics at Oakland
University, will address the
seniors on "Social Security and
Fringe Benefits," on Tuesday in
the assembly hall of JPM at 1 p.m.
The film, Rendevous with Free-
dom, will be shown on Tuesday at
2 p.m. in the assembly hall of
JPM. This film deals with Jewish
immigration to America and the
subsequent impact of Jews on
America's development.
The film will kick off a month
long celebration of America's im-
migrant heritage. This will be ac-
complished through films,
entertainment, book reviews, lec-
tures, short stories and displays.
A representative of Sinai Hos-
pital's dental clinic will be present
for an oral pathology screening
from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday in
room 10 of the JPM branch.
