Well, just ask any Conservative or Reform Jew how he defines the religious af- filiation of a bareheaded, clean- shaven person who attends synagogue daily and observes Shabbat and kashrut. He'll re- spond: "Orthodox." Now ask how he defines a bearded black-hatted religious Jew? "Ultra-Orthodox;" of course!
