Assembly: the Youth Aliya com-
mittee voted to discontinue the
flow of funds to anti-Zionist,
ultra-religious institutions —

for in the Hoffman articles.

Justice Fund
Grants $23,500

The Jewish Fund for Justice, a
national Jewish grant making
institution which funds efforts to
combat poverty and injustice in
America, has announced seven
new-grants.
For the second consecutive
year, JFJ granted $5000 to the
Seventh Generation Fund for its
Navajo/Israeli Intensive Crop
Production Project, which sup-
ports efforts by Navajos to adapt
Israeli drip irrigation and arid
farming techniques for use on
their own land.
The Fund's first grant in New
York City went to the Youth Ac-
tion Program, an organization in
East Harlem which encourages
neighborhood youth to plan and
implement . their own community
improvement projects. The $5000
grant will help support a recrea-
tion center, park and a "Special
Community Forces" program,
through which young people par-
ticipate in crime watches, clean-
up efforts and community proj-
ects.
Other JFJ grants include $5000
to the Florida Farm-worker Asso-
ciation of Apopka, FL. and the
Prairiefire, a rural organizing
project in Des Moines, Iowa. A
$3000 grant went to the Greater
Bridgeport Interfaith Action of
Bridgeport, Conn. and $500 to the
Center for Community_ Self Help
in Durham, NC.
