Mrs. Lois Winkleman of
Cranston, R.I., is pleased to an-
nounce the engagement of her
daughter, Karen, to Bruce
Michael Furman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Herbert Furman of Far-
mington Hills.
Miss Winkleman earned a
bachelor's degree at the Univer-
sity of Rhode Island and a mas-
ter's degree in social work at
Yeshiva University. She is em-
ployed an an executive recruiter
in Berkeley, Calif.
Her fiance earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in physics at the
University of Michigan and a
master's degree in physics at the
University of California, Ber-
keley. He is working as an elec-
trical engineer in California and
will pursue additional graduate
studies at UCLA in the fall.
MiSs Winkleman, daughter of
the late Mr. Harold Winkleman,
and her fiance plan a July wed-
ding in Berkeley, Calif.

B.A. degree from Michigan State

vania Law School. She is cur-
rently an associate with the law
firm of Baker and Hostetler, in
Washington, D.C.
Her fiance received his B.A.
degree from Yale University and
his J.D. degree from the Univer-
sity of Pennsylvania Law School.
He is currently a law clerk with
Judge Donald Van Artsdalin of
the U.S. District Court for the
Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
