Surgery Center
Due In Farmington

In July, Sinai Health Services,
through s subsidiary corporation,
will begin construction of the
Sinai Surgery Center of Far-
mington Hills, an out-patient
surgery facility on Orchard Lake
Road north of 12 Mile Road.
Slated to open in the summer of
1987, the center will provide
services in many specialties in-
cluding gynecology, ears/nose/
throat, urology, ophthalmology,
dermatology, as well as cosmetic
and reconstructive, dental and
oral, orthopedic, general and
pediatric surgery.
The surgery center will offer a
wide range of state-of-the-art
laser treatments as does Sinai
Hospital, Sinai Health Service's
largest affiliate.
Dr. Stuart Hamburger, chair-
man of the hospital's department
of surgery, and Dr. Eli Brown,
chairman of the Hospital's de-
partment of anesthesiology, will
be responsible for coordinating
the medical services for the cen-
ter.
Other Sinai Health Services af-
filiates are the Nathan I. and
Betty Goldin Health Care Center
in West Bloomfield which opened
in 1984, and the Samuel and Lil-
lian Hechtman Center in Bin-
gham Farm, slated to open in the
fall.

Sinai Hospital of Detroit is of-
fering five special courses for ex-
pecting parents and grand-
parents.
The Prenatal Class will run for
five consecutive Thursdays, be-
ginning July 3. There is a fee.
The Prenatal Breastfeeding
Class will run for three consecu-
tive Tuesdays, beginning July 1.
There is a charge.
The Casarean Birth Class will
run for three consecutive Tues-
days, starting July 8. There is a
fee.
The Parenting Class will run
for five consecutive Wednesdays,
beginning July 2, at a charge.
The grandparents' Class will
run for two consecutive Thurs-
days, July 10 and 17, at a charge.
All of the courses will be held
at 7:30 p.m. at Sinai Hospital.

Blood Pressure
Class At Sinai

Sinai Hospital will offer "The
Lowdown on High Blood Pres-
sure," a hypertension education
class, Thursday through July 24
at 7:30 p.m. in the Nursing Con-
ference room at Sinai Hospital.
The program will address the
role of medication, diet and stress
management techniques as they
relate to controlling high blood
pressure. A . family member or
friend is encouraged to attend
with each participate with no
additional charge.
