president of Adat Shalom
Synagogue at its annual meeting.
Elected with him were: Bar-
bara Cook, first vice president;
Dr. Harry Maisel, Sanford
Eichenhorn, Leonard Siegal and
Betsy Winkelman, vice
presidents; Sidney Feldman, re-
cording secretary; Sharon Hart,
treasurer.
Elected to the board of trustees
for a three-year term were: Joel
Golden, Ron Mitnick and Ralph
Woronoff.
Adat Shalom Memorial Park
board members are: Joel Ger-
shenson, Roger Leemis, Dr. Sid-
ney Siegan and Neal Zalenko.
Officers and board members
will be installed at Shabbat serv-
ices at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Humanist Society
Names Jerris

The Society for Humanistic
Judaism, headquartered in Far-
mington Hills, appointed Miriam
Jerris as full-time executive di-
rector.
Ms. Jerris has a Bachelor of
Arts degree in psychology from
Wayne State University and is
currently completing the .re-
quirements towards a master's
degree in Near Eastern studies at
the University of Michigan. She
is also enrolled as a student at
the Humanist Institute which is
a leadership training program of
the North American Committee
for Humanism.
She is a humanist counselor,
which is a member of clergy, for
the American Humanist Associa-
tion. She serves on the board of
directors of the International
Federation of Secular Humanis-
tic Jews, the Leadership Confer-
ence for Secular and Humanistic
Jews and the North American
Committee for Humanism.
Among the Detroiters elected
to posts in the Society for
Humanistic Judaism are: Lynne
Master, treasurer; Marilyn Row-
ens and Rabbi Sherwin Wine,
members-at-large; M. Bonnie
Cousens, journal editor; and Eli
Master, Ron Milan, Ben Pivnick,
Robert Sandler and Jacqueline
Zigman, members of the board of
directors.
