Mrs. Halevy served in the Is-
raeli Army as a sergeant and judo
instructor and it was there that
she met her husband, who was a
lieutenant at the time.
Mrs. Halevy, who taught un-
derprivileged children in elemen-
tary school, was in Israel during
all the wars.
- Working closely with her hus-
band, she has been responsible
for encouraging support of Israel
Bond goals and does volunteer
work in Israel, both with youth
projects and .with the Soldiers
Welfare Organization.
