Jewish Travel
Guide Printed
A new guide has just been pub-
lished to help the Jewish busi-
ness traveler, families and stu-
dents who seek synagogues and
kosher eating establishments
while on the road.
Published by Wandering You
Press, the paperbacked guide,
Traveling Jewish in America,
lists state and city synagogues,
places where kosher food is
available and mikvaot.
The synagogues and temples
are designated by orientation —
Orthodox, Conservative, Reform,
Lubavitch, Reconstructionist and
Traditional — and with which
religious body they are affiliated
— National Council of Young Is-
rael, Union of Orthodox Jewish
Congregations and United
Synagogue of America.
The food sections tell whether
breakfast, lunch or dinner is
served and there is rabbinical
supervision.
A quick glace through the
Michigan section found three er-
rors: the Hillel Foundation at
Wayne State University's ad-
dress was incorrect, the spelling
of Cong. Beth Tefilo Emanuel
Tikvah was incorrect and the
street on which Young Israel of
Southfield is located was misspel-
led.
The guide was compiled by
Brynna C. Bloomfield and Jane
M. Moskowitz.
The book is available at
Spitzer's or by sending $9.95 plus
$2 for shipping and handling to
Wandering You Press, P.O. Box
20, Lodi, N.J. 07644.
