THE WESTIN HOTEL WEATHER WAS IN THE high 80s . . . as people of the corn.- plex bathed outside their beauti- ful and spacious clubhouse at Northfield Hills. He's the son of Detroit News feature writer Kelly Burgess .. . and so many folks who came didn't realize they'd have such a good time. Food galore . . . enough to feed the envious Sunday bathers out- side and their entire families .. . When the Billy Rose Quartet swung into action, it was an al- most non-stop afternoon of danc- ing and frivolity . . . as Billy and the boys were at their best. So many people having fun .. . Sylvia Glover, very fine _"Good Afternoon Detroit" hostess; Henry Baskin, barrister of the TV .stars; Detroit News journalist/photog Linda Solomon with hair growing longer .. . Barry Solomon, her loving hubby, suspected to be the culprit behind Linda cutting those lovely tresses . . . Aug. 26 will be 11 years of marriage for this beauti- ful couple. Sybil Little, Oakland Press fashion and feature writer; Kel- ly's oldest son, Jimmy Demetros flying in from Scotsdale, Ariz. for the graduation ceremonies and party; Kelly's mother, Edith Burgess, soon to celebrate her 89th birthday, chafing at the bit to get out there and dance .. . especially the Hora as Billy Rose Quartet bounced the clubhouse walls with "Nava Nagela".. . . My wife Frieda leaving early to catch plane for jewelry show in Atlan- tic. City. Paul "Jason" Woolbright had a wonderful graduation party .. . something mother Kelly Burgess had wanted so badly for him .. .
