Harry and Geri Portner of
West Bloomfield were honored
last week with a luncheon at
Jacques on the occasion of their
50th wedding anniversary.
Relatives and friends from Is-
rael, Pennsylvania, California,
New York, Connecticut, Massa-
chusetts, Virginia, the District
of Columbia and Florida were
on hand to help the couple
celebrate.
• The Portners hold member-
ship in Adat Shalom Synagogue,
B'nai B'rith and are active in
the Jewish National Fund.
Portner is the owner of Pro-
fessional Piping Association. He
is a member of Perfection Lodge
of the Masons, Adat Shalom
Men's Club and is past president
of the Hebrew Benevolent
Society.
Mrs. Portner is a member of
Adat Shalom- Sisterhood, Na-
tional Council_ of Jewish
Women, Naamat USA (formerly
Pioneer Women) and Hadassah.
She currently is a travel agent

Anna and Julius Spielberg
Spielberg 60th
A grove of 1,000 trees has
been planted in Israel under the
auspices of the Jewish National
Fund in honor of the 60th wed-
ding anniversary of Anna and
Julius Spielberg.
The grove was subscribed by
their daughter, Norma Gorosh;
their grandchildren, Alan,
Rhona, Neil, Marla, Jeffrey,
Richard, Bruce and Tamara
Gorosh; and their great-grand-
children, Loren and Alexander
Gorosh.
A retired pharmacist and land
developer, Spielberg introduced
the first self-serve drug store in
Michigan. Mrs. Spielberg is
actively involved in David-
Horodoker Women's Organiza-
tion and the Ladies Auxiliary of
Yeshivath Beth Yehudah. They
are both members of Magen
David Adom, B'nai B'rith and
the Aesculapian Pharmaceutical
Association.
