The subject that you raised on
your Editorial page of May 30th
regarding kashrut supervision
indeed corroborates what I have
been trying to call attention to
on past occasions.
The practices adhered to by
Orthodox rabbis in the area of
so called supervision deserves
condemnation by all who put in-
tegrity before greed. Kashrut
supervision has developed into
an instrument by which a few
Orthodox rabbis exercise power
over the uninitiated, while lin-
ing their pockets ...

the remnants of my family who
perished in the Holocaust. I am
looking for the Ajzenberg family
in the Lodz Ghetto Dolna 4, and
before that Zgirska 41
(Hohensteiner 41), Lodz. I am
looking for Matla Ajzenberg,
born 1912, and her children —
Tauba Hinda, Priweia Laja, and
Szmuel Alter.
Although from the Ghetto re-
cords Matla is registered under
her name of Ajzenberg, I believe
she was married to my brother,
Schmeril Laufer. I last saw him
in Auschwitz in 1944, and re-
cords show he later went to
Dachau and perished possibly
early 1945.
