87 MONUMENTS BY BERG AND URBACH Dr. Simon Dolin FINE MONUMENTS SINCE 1910 David; a son, Dr. Michael B.; a daughter, Mrs. David (Melinda) Fishman; two sisters, Mrs. Dave (Ethel) Natinsky of Florida and Mrs. Harry (Bernice) Swinkin; and three grandchildren.. Dr. Simon Dolin, a radiologist, died May 27 at age 73. Born in Lithuania, Dr. Dolin lived 29 years in Detroit. He was professor of radiology at Wayne State University's school of medicine from 1982 to 1985. Previously, he was chief of radiology at North Detroit Gen- eral Hospital from 1975 to 1982. Dr. Dolin was in private prac- tice in Detroit since 1957. He is the former associate professor of radiology at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine (1953-1957). He was the author of numer- ous scientific articles on medicine and radiology and was an internationally recognized authority on x-ray diagnosis and treatment of bone diseases. He was a member of the Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of. North America, the American CO'llege of Radiology and the section on radiology of the American Medi- cal Association. Dr: Dolin received the Gold Medallion Award from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. He was active in a variety of civic and Jewish communal affairs and wrote widely on Jewish topics for sev- eral publications. He was a member of Cong. Shaarey Zedek and was active in congregational and philan- thropic affairs. He also was a member of the Zionist Organiza- tion of America, the American Physicians Fellowship for Israel, and received the Brother's Keeper Award from the Ameri- can Red Magen David for Israel. He was a member of Century Club of B'nai B'rith. Dr. Dolin leaves his wife, Sara; a son, Dr. Raphael of Pittsford, N.Y.; and two grand- children. Seymour Kent, an attorney and real estate broker, died May 23 at age 79. Born in New York, Mr. Kent lived 40 years in Detroit. He attended City College of New York and was graduated from the Brooklyn College of Law. He was a member in the Michigan Bar Association, Friends of the Detroit Public Library. During World War II, he was a captain in the Army. Mr. Kent was a member of the Detroit In- stitute of Arts, the Baker Street Irregulars and the Book Club of Detroit. He leaves his wife, Grace; two daughters, Joan of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Mark (Jill) Sol- omons of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Kraut of North Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Clair Diamond of Miami Beach, Fla.; nieces and nephews.
