Dr. Paul Pearsall

Dr. Paul Pearsall, director
and chief of the Problems of
Daily Living Clinic in the de-
partment of psychiatry at Sinai
Hospital, will speak at the com-
bined annual meeting of Jewish
Family Service and Resettle-
ment Service on June 11„ at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
At the annual meeting there
will be election of officers,
board, executive committee,
chairman of the nominating
committee for Jewish Family
Service for 1986-1987, and the
election of board and officers for
Resettlement Service.
Dr. Pearsall is professor of
psychology at Henry Ford
Community College; adjunct
assistant professor at the Wayne
State University Medical School;
and director of summer insti-
tutes at the Kinsey Institute for
Research in Sex, Gender and
Reproduction.
He has presented papers
throughout North America on
topics relevant to transitional
life crises confronting the family
today.
He has written extensively in
the field of diagnosis and treat-
ment of sexual, marital and
family dysfunction, learning
disabilities, family growth and
development, sexual health, and
short term therapy formats.
Dr. Pearsall will speak on
"Key Crises In Life — Can We
Cope Better?"
Dr. Pearsall will also discuss
his new book, Super-Immunity:
Mastering Your Emotions, Im-
proving Your Health.
Chairman of the nominating
committee for Jewish Family
Service is Marvin C. Daitch, and
---chairman of the nominating
committee for Resettlement
Service is Rabbi Lane Steinger.
Maida Portnoy chairs the an-
nual meeting planning commit-
tee, and Agnes Klein is associ-
ate chairwoman.
Susan Citrin, president of
Jewish Family Service, will re-
port on recent developments in
the agency, including the
growth of the group therapy
program and the institution of
an in-home respite care pro-
gram.
Stollman,
H.
Bernard
president of Resettlement Serv-
ice, will report on the current
active caseload of the agency
and will describe the prospects
for future resettlement of Soviet
Jewish emigres.
This combined annual meet-
ing is part of the agency's corn-
munity education program.
There is no charge, and the pub-
lic is invited.
