Akiva Students
Tapped For Program

Five students of Akiva He-
brew Day School recently par-
ticipated in the fifth annual
search for academically talented
junior high school students con-
ducted by the Center for Talent
Development of Northwestern
University.
The students include four
eighth graders: Debbie Dworkin,
David Herman, Ron Meisler and
Ari Schochet, and one seventh
grader, Marcy Morton.
The students qualified for the
Northwestern program by scor-
ing in the 95th percentile or
higher on the verbal or math-
ematical portion of the College
Board's Scholastic Aptitude
Test. The test is usually taken
by high school juniors and
seniors. The students now qual-
ify for special summer and aca-
demic year programs.
