Named For The Symes
The Jewish National Fund
dinner at 6 p.m. June 18 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek will be the
occasion to initiate a recreation
area in a Reform movement
project in Israel named for the
dinner's honorees, Rabbi and
Mrs. M. Robert Syme.
The Symes, of Temple Israel,
will receive the Keter Shem Tov
Award from the JNF. Their son,
Rabbi Daniel Syme, will make
the presentation to his parents.
Another son, concert pianist
David Syme, will perform in
honor of the . occasion.
As JNF honorees, the Symes
will join many notable com-
munal leaders who have re-
ceived the annual award from
the JNF. They include: Abe

Gym Has Benefit
For MDA Drive
Gold's Gym of Troy will spon-
sor its first Move Muscle fo
MDA coed marathon on June 71
at 8 p.m. through June 8 at the
gym, 109 W. Long Lake Rd..
Troy.
Muscle movers from all over
are invited to pump iron and
move muscle for 24 hours for
the Muscular Dystrophy Asso-
ciation. Participants will get'
pledges each hour they work
out. All proceeds go to MDA.
Prizes will be awarded to the
top fund raisers. Lloyd Rap-,
poport, owner of the gym, will
provide free juice to all muscle
mover participants.
