Shaarit Haplaytah of Met-
ropolitan Detroit, Survivors of
1945, will have a testimonial
dinner-dance at 6 p.m. June 8 at
Cong. Beth Shalom.
The evening will pay tribute
to Harry Praw and Miriam
Slaim "for their 20 years of
dedicated service and devotion
to the organization."
A native of Lodz, Poland, and
a survivor of the Holocaust,
Praw came to the United States
in 1949. From New York he
came to Detroit. in 1957. He is
an active board member of
Shaarit Haplaytah, the
Holocaust Memorial Center and
Workmen's Circle.
Mrs. Slaim was born in
Zdonska Wola, Poland, and
came to the United States in
1955. Also a Holocaust survivor,
Mrs. Slaim is a member of the
board of Shaarit Haplaytah and
B'nai B'rith.
A musical salute will be per-
formed by Cantor Barry Ulrych.
Eric Rosenow and his Continen-
tals will provide music for danc-
ing.
