Attorney Susan Moiseev will
be sworn in as a judge on the
46th Circuit Court bench, filling
the unexpired term of the late
Judge Norman Feder, in a pub-
lic ceremony at 4 p.m. June 2 in
the Southfield City Council
Chambers.
Moiseev, who was appointed
to the post by Gov. James Blan-
chard, was graduated from the
University of Michigan with a
B.A. degree in social studies and
the University of Detroit Law
School in 1976.
Second vice president of the
Women Lawyers Association,
Moiseev was chief counsel in the
civil division for the Legal Aid
and Defender Association of De-
troit. She was appointed in 1984
by Gov. Blanchard as vice
chairman of the Michigan
Women's Commission.
Moiseev is past chairman of
the Southfield Democratic Club
and works with the Michigan
Women's Campaign Fund. In
addition, she is a former hearing
referee for the Michigan De-
partment of Civil Rights and
former volunteer mediator for
the 46th District Court.
In the Jewish community,
Moiseev is affiliated with Cong.
