Mr. Haar was director of the Sholem Aleichem Institute for many years. The institute is a secular Jewish cultural and educational organization. Storyteller Peninnah Schram will entertain. The stories that Ms. Schram tells are legends and folktales from Biblical, Talmudic, Mid- rashic, Chassidic, Yiddish, Sephardic and Israeli sources. They tell of the written and oral Jewish tradition. Ms. Schram performs and conducts workshops in storytel- ling across the country. She is an associate professor of speech and drama at Stern College of Yeshiva University. She has published many arti- cles on storytelling and also re- corded three albums/cassettes. This year's committee in- cludes Bette Schein, president of Sholem Aleichem Institute; Lil- lian Gold and Rose Roth.
