12-Year-Old Violinist
In B'nai Moshe Concert

Cong. B'nai Moshe is celebrat-
ing Lag B'Omer with a 75th
Anniversary Year Cantorial
Concert 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The concert features Cantor
Louis Klein of B'nai Moshe,
Cantor Irving Grossman of
Temple Beth Am in Margate,
Fla., and 12-year-old violinist
Gabriel Bolkosky of Oak Park.
Gabe, who has been playing
the violin for nine years, began
as a Suzuki student and has
studied with Laura Sias, Ann
Alicia Durada-Strubler of the
Detroit Symphony Orchestra,
and currently with Michael Av-
sharian in Ann Arbor. He has

won awards from the Music'
Study Club of Metropolitan De-
troit, the National Music Camp
at Interlochen, the Amity Music
Club, and the Livonia and Oak-
land Youth Symphonies.
A member of the Fairlane
Youth Chamber Music Guild, he
plays in a trio, two string quar-
tets, and a chamber orchestra.
Also a member of the Detroit 1
Symphony Civic Orchestra, he 1
has been invited to perform the
Bach Violin Concerto in D
Minor for Two Violins with the
Detroit Symphony next March.
The B'nai Moshe concert is
free and open to the public.
