Milton Gilman and Joseph
Jackier have been named chair-
men for this year's city-wide cen-
tennial dinner on behalf of the
Jewish Theological Seminary,
announced Harold Barry, general
chairman.
In celebrating its centennial,
seminary announced it has se-
cured three centennial contribu-
tions of $100,000 from Joseph
and Larry Jackier, Louis and
Harold Berry and from an
anonymous donor.
This year's dinner, which will
take place at Adat Shalom
Synagogue on June 5, will fea-
ture as honorees: Walter and Lea
Field, Cong. Shaarey Zedek; Max
and Alice Goldsmith, Adat
Shalom Synagogue; and Cantor
Israel Fuchs, Cong. Beth Ab-
raham Hillel Moses.
The seminary has a worldwide
campus of Jewish scholarship
and service. Its programs include
the training of rabbis, cantors,
teachers, the Jewish Museum,
the award-winning Eternal Light
radio and TV broadcasts, and the
new Boesky Family Library com-
plex housing the Western Hemi-
sphere's greatest collection of
Hebraica and Judaica.
The youth programs include
United Synagogue Youth, Ometz
on the college campus and the
Ramah Camps. Nearly 900 Con-
servative synagogues and pro-
grams in American Israel are
affiliated with ',lie seminary.

JP! Students
Entertain Seniors

Students in the Jewish Parents
Institute's nursery, kindergar-
ten, first and third grade classes
will entertain at the Hechtman
Federation Apartments at 10:30
a.m. Sunday.
The children will perform Is-
raeli folkdances, studied as part
of their curriculum. Directing the
children will be Beth Norman,
who has been JPI's dance in-
structor for the past four years.
Upon their return to the Jewish
Community Center, students will
enjoy a Lag B'Omer picnic com-
plete with singing and dancing.
Also scheduled for Sunday is a
special presentation by Dena
Lochman of the Anti-Defamation
League .of B'nai B'rith. Ms.
Lochman will discuss "Current
Trends in Anti-Semitism" with
students from Clubs 8 and 9 and
JPI parents. The presentation
will take place at 10:15 a.m. in
Room 150 at the main Jewish
Center.
