The group will gather in front of the Fleischman Residence on the Jewish Community Campus at 11 a.m., before entering a path through local Jewish history. YAD members will see the ci- ty's old Jewish neighborhoods and synagogues, former Jewish Community Center branches and "Jewish" high schools like Cen- tral. and Mumford. Other high- lights include buildings designed by Albert Kahn, a leading Jewish architect in the early industrial age. A Central High graduate, . Winter is assistant professor of humanities at Wayne State Uni- versity. After earning his mas- ter's degree from the University of Michigan, he worked at WXYZ radio for 12 years before moving his talk show to WJR. The voice of Channel 56, Winter has served as everything from announcer to senior pro- ducer of community affairs at the public television station.
