COUNCIL OF METROPOLI-
TAN DETROIT will have its
first all-delegates meeting of the
1986-1987 year on Wednesday at
7:45 p.m. at the United Hebrew
Schools building. For informa-

meet Thursday at the B'nai
B'rith Building, Dubin Meeting
Room. Guest speakers will be at-
torneys Stuart Sinai and John
Obee, on the topic "Recent and
Threatening New Trends Affect-
ing Accountants Liability." The
program will qualify for two
hours of continuing professional
education credits.

LODGE will have its installa-
tion brunch May 25 at the South-

HMC Volunteers
Hear Guy Stern

Dr. Guy Stern of Wayne State
University will deliver the con-
cluding lecture in his two-part
series at the Holocaust Memorial
Center on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
His topic will be "Life in Shadow:
What It Was Like to Live in an
Occupied Country."
The lecture will be held in the
Holocaust Memorial Center's
conference room and all HMC
volunteers are invited.
Ruth Lefkowitz is chairman of
the guide committee and has ar-
ranged this series as part of the
continuing education program at
the HMC.

Arthritis Fund
Benefit Thursday

The Arthritis Foundation,
Michigan Chapter, will benefit
from a celebrity roast of WDTX-
FM disc jockey Jim Harper at
5:30 p.m. Thursday at Roma's of
Bloomfield.
Proceeds will be used for re-
search, patient services and edu-
cation. For ticket information,
