Baum-Inwald
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Baum of
West Bloomfield proudly an-
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Sheryl Ann, to Joseph
Michael Inwald, son of Dr. and
Mrs. Samson Inwald of South-
field.
Miss Baum received her
bachelor's degree at the Univer-
sity of Michigan. She is currently
pursuing, a master's degree in
elementary education at Wayne
State University.
Her fiance received a Bachelor
of Science degree in economics
from the Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania with
a dual major in health care ad-
ministration and -organizational
management. He also received
his Jurus Doctor degree from the
University of Michigan Law
School. He is an associate at the
firm of Schlussel, Lifton, Simon,
Rands, Kaiffmah, Galvin and
Jackier in Southfield, where he
practices health care law.
A July wedding is planned.

ing Heights announces the
engagement of her daughter, De-
borah Louise, to James Donald
Farrar, son of Mrs. Hulda Farrar
of Milan, Mich.
Miss Gendler earned a
bachelor's degree in education at
the University of Michigan. She
is employed as an office manager
in a dental office in Dexter, Mich.
Her fiance is employed at the
Ford Motor Co.'s Rawsonville
plant.

Chaff Run Planned
May 18 At Center
In conjunction with Sinai Hos-
pital, the Jeygigh Community
Center will sponior the ninth an-
nual "Chai" long distance run on -
May 18.
This is a non-competitive
event, strictly for exercise and
pleasure, and runners of all
levels and ages are invited to par-
ticipate in diitances of one, three,
six, nine, 12 and 18 miles. Wal-
kers are alio welcome. All
courses begin and end at the
main Jewish Center. The one-
mile run begins at 8 a.m. with all
other runs starting at 8:30 a.m.
Long sleeve shirts will begiven
to all entrants and prizes will be
awarded for all distances com-
pleted. Refreshments will be
served at the finish line and
numerous water stations will be
set up along all courses. Locker
room facilitiei will also be avail-
able. '
The entry fee must be received
by May 9. A late, registration fee
will be charged after May 9: On
the day of the. run, the late Agis-
tration will only be accepted be-
tween 7 and 7:45 a:m. Official
