Israeli Artitts
The Jewish Community Center
will host an Israeli Art Marathon
through May 15 in the main Cen-
ter lobby.
A wine-and-cheese reception
will kick off the marathon at 9:15
p.m. Saturday.
Among the media to be repre-
sented are silk screens, Agamog-
raphs, sculptures, water colors,
lithographs and ceramic pictures.
Artists whose works will be re-
presented are Yaacov, Agam,
Arie Azene, Naim Basson,
Amram Ebgi, Shlomo Katz, Zina
Rotman, Raphael Rozenthalis,
David Schneur, Edwin Solomon
and Theo Tobiasse.
The public is invited free of
charge. Hours are Monday
through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9
p.m.; Friday and Sunday, 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m.

Stan Trompeter, former pro-
gram director at Camp
Tamakwa, in Huntsville, Ont.,
has been named director of the
Jewish Community Center Day
Camp.
A Southfield resident, Trompe-
ter is a teacher and administrator
in the Oak Park School system.
He has also served as manager of
the Village Athletic Club, super-
visor for the Southfield Parks and
Recreation Department and tour
director for Lakeland Tours, Inc.
The new director holds bachelor's
and master's degrees from Wayne
State University.
The Jewish Community Center
operates a day camp with two
sessions, from June 23 to July 18,
and from July 22 to Aug. 15. Pro-
grams are available for children
pre-school through _tenth grade.
Activities include sports, music,
drama, crafts, computers, nature
study and. swimming. For infor-
mation, contact the JCC, 661-
1000, ext. 254.
