Marc, became members of B'nai
David in 1958. More recent addi-
tions to the family are Melissa's
daughters, Erin and Kati Eisen-
berg.
During the last 15 years Soble
has held every post on the execu-
tive board and was fund-raising
chairman fdr nine years. In 1982,
he became president of Cong.
B'nai David, and in so doing, he
became the only president in 90
years whose father had also been
president of B'nai David.
He has been involved in sup-
porting the American Israel Pub-
lic Affairs Committee in Wash-
ington (AIPAC), has been an
active board member of the
Jewish Community Center, an
active sponsor of the Anti-
Defamation League and has
worked with the Israel Cancer
Foundation. In the late 1970s he
headed the Pharmacists Section
of the Health Division of the Al-
lied Jewish Campaign.
A leader and supporter of . the
Israel Bond program, Sable has
been a member of the Metro De-
troit Israel Bonds Executive
Board for several years, currently
holding the position of cash col-
lection chairman.

Goldie Soble
The summer' day camp, spon-
sored by Temple Emanu-El Nur-
sery School, will offer extended
hour care, until 6 p.m. daily. The
day camp will begin on June 23
and run for two three week ses-
sions.
A parent=tockller. class will
meet during the summer as well
The summer *progiani will offer
water play, art, music, outdoor
activities and many "special"
events.
Enrollment is under way for
the September school year. The
nursery school offers programm-
ing for children age 2 1/2 through
6, with a Diaper Detail class,
regular nursery classes, pre-
kindergarten, and regular
licensed 'kindergarten class.
Parent-toddler classes also will
meet.

Cong. B'nai David will host a
silver anniversary dinner on be-
half of. State of Israel Bonds on
June 10 in the B'nai David social
hall, beginning with cocktails at
6:30 p.m. The dinner will com-
memorate a quarter-century of
consecutive annual Israel Bond
tribute dinners sponsored by the
Southfield synagogue, it was an-
nounced by incoming congrega-
tion president Fred Ferber.
Honored at the dinner will be
mother and son, Goldie Soble and
Jerome Soble, silver anniversary
honorees and recipients-elect of
State of Israel's Jerusalem, City
of Peace Awards.
Mrs: Roble has been a member
of Cong. B'nai David, since the
middle 1940s.; In 1962, her late
husband, Harold, was congrega-
tion president and building
chairman- for the new B'nai
David 'sanctuary. Their charita-
ble and community involvements
also included . State of Israel
Bonds, -United Jewish Charities,
Bar-Ilan University, Sinai Hospi-
tal, Yeshiva University, Hebrew
University, Yeshivat Akiva,
Hillel Day School and others.
Mrs. Sable has also been affil-
iated with Hadassah and
Women's Bicur Cholem organiza-
tion.
Co-honoree Jerome Soble of
Southfield, along, with his wife,
Marilyn and their four children,
Michele, Mitchel, Melissa, and
Co-Directors of the program
are Michaelyn Silverman and
Rena Cohen. For information

Flower Day
Southfield's cultural arts de-
partment will have its second
annual Flower Day at Eastern
Market on May 18, with bus
transportation. leaving at 9:30
a.m. from the Southfield Parks
and Recreation building. There is
a fee.
