Israel Bond Tribute Dinner hon-
oring Grand Rapids communal
leader Arthur Silverstein on
May 12 at Amway Grand Plaza
Hotel. Temple Emanuel and
Cong. Ahavas Israel will co-
sponsor the event which begins
at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails.
Silverstein will be the reci-
pient, at the dinner, of the State
of Israel's Freedom Award.
Stuart Rapaport is dinner
chairman; Hy Berkowitz is hon-
orary chairman; Edward A. Mil-
ler is reservations chairman.
Farber is host of the WMCA
radio talk show, The Barry
Farber Show, and is a commen-
tator for the AM - New York
show -on - WABC . . TILAtUnterna-
tionally recognized newscaster,
he covered the refugee exodus
from Hungary at the time of the
Communist takeover, Cuba
when its government fell to the
Castro forces, and has been in
and out of Russia and countries
behind the Iron Curtain on
numerous occasions.
