gregations in the country.

retary and vice president. She
also was a vice president of the
Temple Israel Sisterhood.
Raised in Middletown, N.Y:,
Mrs. Kamil graduated with a
B.A. degree in sociology from
William Smith in upper New
York state.
Since moving to Detroit in
1956, Mrs. Kamil has been
actively involved in community
work, having served as an
Hadassah group president, as
president of the Center Sym-
phony Orchestra and with the
Jewish Community Council and
Jewish Welfare Federation.
