• Sisterhood. Marks 30th Anniversary Cong. B'nai David Sisterhood will celebrate its 50th anniver- sary at a special donor luncheon at nom April 15 at the synagogue. Mrs. Helen Brown, president, and Mrs. Flo Nitzkin, donor and entertainment chairman, an- nounce the day will begin at 10 a.m. in the synagogue foyer with boutiques and gift items. Following the luncheon a special entertainment program will be presented featuring Frankie Rapp, Barbara Bredius and Phil Marcus Esser. Rapp hails from Michigan and is an international comedy star. From the Bowery in Hamtramck to Las Vegas to the Elmwood Casino and The Top .Hat in Windsor, to the, hundreds of clubs and banquets, Rapp has entertained people from around the world. Bredius came to the Detroit area from Salt Lake City with the group, Brandywine. She played at the Raven Gallery, toured the United. States and then joined The Jacques Brel Show with Esser. She was re- cently named best vocalist in Detroit by a Detroit News maga- zine. Esser is from Omaha, Neb.,. and has brought musical theater programs to thousands of people throughout Michigan. From Jacques Brel is Alive and Well in 1973, Esser, produced. 25 more shows plus a series of concerts. Esser was selected by the De- troit News as one of the "Top Ten Michiganians of 1986." Grant Gemologists is , Free Health Tests Offered The seventh annual Project Health-O-Rama will again offer free health screening tests to anyone 18 years of age or older in the eight counties of south- eastern Michigan, beginning Sunday and .continuing through May 2. For 27 days, participants will receive free health screening tests, with thorough follow-up. More than 7,000 volunteers at more than 100 sites will provide tests for height and weight, blood pressure, vision, counseling/referral, health his- tory, health hazard appraisal and glaucoma. The optional blood test will be provided at a fee.
