Honey Friedman of West
Bloomfield has been named di-
rector of development at Sinai
Hospital of Detroit. She will be
responsible for raising funds to
help sustain and advance health
care programs to serve met-
ropolitan Detroit.
Before coming to Sinai,
Friedman was the manager of
corporate development for
WTVS-Channel 56. Prior to that
she served as auction manager
and then manager of corporate
underwriting. She had been
with WTVS since 1974.
Friedman has been a member
of the board of directors of the
Jewish Vocational Service since
1982. She also is a member of
the West Bloomfield League of
Women Voters, serving on its
board for six years.
Friedman holds a bachelor's
degree from the University of
Michigan.

Detroiter Named
White House Intern

Lisa Isaac, daughter of Larry
and Nina Isaac of Morton Grove,
Ill., and granddaughter of Gail
Katz and the late Mr. Irving I.
Katz, former executive director
of Temple Beth El, is serving an
internship at the White House
in Washington, D.C. as a news
summary intern. She is working
in the office of Larry Speakes,
deputy press secretary to the
President.
Ms. Isaac was graduated in
March from Michigan State
University with a degree in
communications. She was
president of PRSSA (Public Re-
lations Student Society of
America) and one of 12 selected
from 4,500 students to receive a
Gold Key Award for outstanding
leadership in the field of public
relations.
In addition to completing an
internship las't summer in
Chicago at Hill and Knowlton,
the largest public relations/
public affairs counsel in the
world, she was chosen this
winter to serve an internship
with the Michigan Department
of
Education in Lansing.
