ENTERTAIN WITH STYLE
kosher restaurant ... open for
both lunch and dinner ... It is
cafeteria style, with customers
picking up their own sandwiches
or salads ... But waitresses
bring full line of dinner .selec-
tions to the table.
Sperber's North is open Tues-
day, Wednesday and Thursday,
10:30 to 8 p.m. ... Monday and
Friday, 10:30 to 4 p.m. ... and
Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
LOCATED• AT SITE of
former Redford Inn, Grand
River and Seven Mile, is the
new Grand River House ... Not
just a name change but all new
ownership, management and
employees. ,
Food and service were
standouts at the Redford Inn
from 1920 until 1962 when fire
destroyed the original and well-
remembered restaurant run by
Emil Huck's family.
During the years that fol-
lowed, several others tried to
stake a claim in regaining the
reputation at this Grand River
and Seven Mile address, but
were far from the standards ...
Grand River House may become
the first one to accomplish what
Huck's Redford Inn did.
Previous to remodeling, the
original was completely gutted
... and now sports a new inter-
ior . .. It opened in November
and after three months of get-
ting "the bugs out" Grand River
Hou6e is in its Grand Opening
month, Tuesday through Satur-
day. •

tor, was employee winner at
Holiday Inn of Southfield on
Telegraph's contest for best
all-American dish to be entered
in Holiday Inn district cookoff,
April 5, at Mt. Pleasant ... Her
Fruity Chicken was judged for
its all-around culinary ability
. . . which Holiday Inn looked for
... taste, presentation, quality,
cost, etc. . .. Judges were Mas-
ter Chef Milos Chihelka of Gol-
den Mushroom, Jackie Stronski,
Holiday Inn of Southfild cater-
ing manager, and myself.
