Even young boys need a
wide-ranging wardrobe. At
left is a bright print Jam
outfit from Kaynee, made
of 100 percent cotton. The
shorts double as a bathing
suit. For fancy dress,
young men can wear a
Christian Dior linen jacket,
offset by a John Weitz
shirt and tie and Gant
pleated slacks.

have a drawstring or an elastic
waist. They are a pull-on rather
than a fitted, jean-style shorts.
What makes them appealing to
girls of all ages are the bright
splashes of color and the prints.
There are matching shirts which
can be layered, or a simple T-shirt
will complete the outfit.
When it comes time to dress up
a little, the young girl will opt for
something in a layered look, per-
haps a mini skirt with lace cardi-
gan and leggings. There'll be a
small market for sundresses,
mainly in pastels and a Hawaiian
print. Best of Jacobson's main-
tains teens will look for one- and
two-piece dresses that are not
fussy, but more along a sporty
line for those less casual mo-
ments.
Girls even have a version of the
Miami Vice
Don Johnson look
