fashion season beckons you to

Roslyn Rock, owner of
Roslyn's Intimate Apparel in
Southfield, says that "intimate
apparel takes its direction from
ready-to-wear."
"With a business suit on the
outside, you can still be feminine
and frivolous underneath," said
Rock.
Harriet Dunsky, owner of
Bobette Shop in Pontiac, says
that "the new look in foundations
is the Racer-Back bra. Some
companies call it a T-Back bra,
and it can be worn under T-shirts
and T-shirt dresses." (The thin
straps are closer to the neck and
there are deep-cut arm holes.)
"Teddies are fabulous," she
says, "They're still very popular
especially in stretch lace,
which has been the rage in every
imaginable color."
"You'll be seeing a lot more
color now in foundation," said
Dunsky. Pastels are extremely
popular in bras and panties, in
peach, blue and yellow, and are
being shown in silks and cottons.
Prints are also new in daywear.
At Bobette Shop, slips and bras
are being shown in a marbelized
print in powder blue and pink.
At Leger's Lingerie in West
Bloomfield, owner Terry Krug
says that "wrinkled gauze for
robes and gowns is very
popular."
