so there's a definite market for
Adidas shorts and shirts. Elastic
waist pants are popular for
spring, as are jeans. In fact, says
Shindler, jeans are more popular
than they've been for the past
three years. Black jeans, gray

topping it all off with a trenchcoat?
And what does the student
wear to public school? "It's
sweatshirts and sweatpants, blue
jeans and sweatshirts or flowered
shirts. Bright colors are popular.
Very loose fitting clothes," says
Shindler.
Do you remember Gumbies,
those funny green, rubber figures
that were around years ago?
Eddie Murphy has recent
popularized them in a skit on the
Saturday Night Live television
show, and now they're appearing
