begin at sundown Monday. A

Megillah reading will be at 6:30
p.m. Monday. Rabbi Efry Spectre
will officiate, and Cantor Larry
Vieder will chant the liturgy.
CONG. BAIS CHABAD OF
FARMINGTON HILLS: The
Megillah will be read at 7:30 p.m.
Monday at the synagogue. Serv-
ices will continue at 7:15 a.m.
Tuesday at the synagogue and at
5:30 p.m. in the home of Rabbi
Chaim Bergstein, 32276
Tareyton, Farmington Hills.
CONG. BETH ABRAHAM
HILLEL MOSES: Minchah will
be at 6:45 p.m. Monday with the
family Megillah reading at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, the Megillah will be
read at 6:30 a.m. Rabbi A. Irving
Schnipper will officiate.
CONG. BETH SHALOM:
Services for Purim will begin with
Minchah at 6:30 p.m. Monday in
the chapel. Ritual Director
Samuel Semp will read the Megil-
lat Esther following services. The
family service and children's
masquerade and procession will
begin at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The youth will do a partial read-
ing of the Megillat Esther.
On Tuesday, Shachrit services
will begin at 6:45 a.m., followed
by the complete reading of the
Megillat Esther. The minyan
breakfast will follow.
Rabbi David Nelson will of-
ficiate and Cantor Samuel Green-
baum will chant the liturgy.
BIRMINGHAM TEMPLE: A
family Purim service will be held
at 7:30 p.m. today. Students of the
temple school will present a spe-
cial Purim program under the di-
rection of Sheila Millman and
Harriet Maza. A Purim carnival
will follow the service.
CONG. B'NAI DAVID: The
congregation will have a family
Megillah service at 6:30 p.m.
Monday in the main sanctuary.
At 8 p.m. there will be a Purim
social hour and refreshments,
sponsored by the sisterhood.
At 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, there will
be a Purim morning service and
Megillah reading. Rabbi Morton
Yolkut will officiate.
B'NAI MOSHE will hold its
Purim carnival 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on
Sunday at the synagogue. There
will be carnival games; face paint- •
ing by the Klassy Klowns and bal-
loons by the Whiz. Refreshments
will be available and tickets can
be purchased at the door.
JEWISH COMMUNITY
CENTER: Children in the One
and Only nursery program will
join with the senior adults at 9:30
a.m. Tuesday at the Jimmy Pre-
ntis Morris Branch for a day of
food and fun. The day will begin
with face painting, followed by
making hamantashen, a costume
parade, a puppet show and con-
cludes with a Puriraseudah in the
Shushan Cafe.
The main building in West
Bloomfield will have its annual
community-wide Purim celebra-
tion at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. '

songfest at 2:15 p.m., games at 3
p.m. with balloon animals,
hamantashen and Purim arts and
crafts for the whole family.
Entertainment will be provided
by the children of the Jewish Par-
ents Institute. Marilyn Wolfe of
the JPI and Robin Herman of the
child development center will
lead the sing-along, accompanied
by Sonny Lipenholtz.
Participating organizations are
the Center's family service de-
partment, child development cen-
ter, Israel Aliyah department,
Fresh Air Society and JPI.
Tickets will be sold in the lobby.

JEWISH PARENTS INSTI-
TUTE: the JPI will gather at
11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Deroy
Studio Theater in the main
Jewish Center for skits, dancing
and singing. Folksinger Judy
Goldstein will entertain. At 1:30
p.m., the JPI will join the Jewish
Center for the community-wide
Purim celebration. JPI students
will 'run the carnival booths.

TEMPLE KOL
Temple Youth will hold their an-
nual Purim carnival at noon Sun-
day in the temple. There will be
games, an auction and luncheon
will be served.
At 7:30 p.m. Monday, there will
be a family Purim Service. Stu-
dents in grades five and six in the
temple religious school will con-
duct the service. Rabbi Ernst
Conrad will read the Megillah.
Noisemakers and traditional re-
freshments will be available. Viv-
ian Stollman will lead songs, and
Dr. Irving Panush, religious
school director, will preside.
