Tzivos Hashem members of
Baia Chabad of Farmington Hills,
ages 5-12, will prepare shalach
manor packages through Tuesday
to be exchanged on Purim. The
hamantashen shaped boxes also
double as a charity box to be do-
nated, when filled, to a favorite
charity. The boxes will be distrib-
uted to the Jewish community of
Farmington Hills to increase
awareness of Purim. Anyone in
the area who would like these
packages at no charge for chil-
dren, should contact Rabbi Chaim
M. Bergstein, 626-3194.
Rabbi Bergstein announces the
introduction of a Dial-A-Jewish-
Story service for the first time in
metropolitan Detroit. Anyone
may call in at any time, any day,
except Shabbat and Jewish holi-
days, to hear tales of heroes of
Jewish history.
Besides classic stories taken
from the Bible, Talmud, Midrash
and Jewish history, there will also
be tales of modern Jewish brav-
ery.
A new story will begin each
Saturday night after Shabbat.
Call Dial-A-Jewish-Story, 855-
0920, to hear the stories. For in-
formation, call Rabbi Bergstein,
626-3194.

NCJW To Focus
On South Africa

Greater Detroit Section and the
Business and Professional Branch
of National Council of Jewish
Women, will hold a meeting on
South Africa on Tuesday at 7:30
p.m. in the NCJW offices, 30233
Southfield, Southfield.
The film, South Africa Belongs
to Us, will be shown. It portrays
five black women who speak of the
fears and frustrations they live
with under apartheid. In addition,
there is an interview with Winnie
Mandela.
Following the film, Rev. Man-
gedwa Nyathi, assistant pastor of
the Hartford Memorial Church in
Detroit, will address the audi-
ence.
There is no charge for this pro-
gram, but reservations are essen-
tial. For reservations, call the
NCJW office, 258-6000.
