Hora Aviv Dance
Performance

Hora Aviv will perform in a
dance concert on Saturday at 8
p.m. The concert will be held at
the Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit in West
Bloomfield.
Members of the Hora Aviv
dance groups are: Belle Green-
baum, Fay Knoll, Moshe Borens-
tein, Shelly Komer Jackier, Avi
Krispin, Clayton Hornbuckle,
Ami Dagan, Barbara Silbersc-
hein, Uri Levy, Alex Voss, Anita

Children has recently established
the Parents for Power Wayne
County Chapter in Wayne
County.
The objectives of the chapter
are to improve the education, rec-
reation, health and employment
opportunities for all hearing-
impaired children.
The next meeting will be held
on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at
Sinai's Professional Building,

Aleynu Announces
Lecture Series

Aleynu of Metro Detroit, an
adult education program, is offer
ing classes in Oak Park and West
Bloomfield.
In Oak Park, "The Power of
'Jewish Wisdom" series is pre-
sented. This includes such topics
as "Business and Life: Living Like
a Professional," "The Power of
Sex," The Art of Conversation,"
and "Laughing at Problems." The

class meets at 8:30 On. every
Monday.
The West Bloomfield series is
"Principle Jewish Concepts." God,
the soul, and the imperative to be
rational are a few of the ideas
covered. The class is

day evenings at 8 p.m.

Senior Center
Plans A Trip

The Oak Park Senior Center
will host a trip for seniors to see
Liberace, take a cruise on Lake
Erie and visit Sea World July 13
and 14.
The trip includes deluxe motor-
coach transportation, accommo-
dations at the Bond Court Hotel,
all-day cruise with buffet meals
and a shopping trip.
Fee for the trip is $175, based on

DEPARTMENT OF MICHI-
GAN LADIES AUXILIARY
will have its general administra-
tive meeting on Wednesday at 8
p.m. at the Jewish War Veterans
headquarters. • Lipshaw-
Hoberman Auxiliary will provide
hostesses. President Elaine Levy
will update her report on the na-
tional presidents coming visit and
give an NEC report. Junior and
senior officers will give reports on
their future activities. For infor-

SOL YETZ MORRIS COHEN
Post and Auxiliary will meet on
March 29 at 12:30 p.m. at the
MCL Cafeteria, in the Tel-12
Mall, for luncheon. Friends are

nounces that first nomination of
officers will be held.

Association Names
Jewish Veterans

Former Jewish War Veterans
Michigan department Comman-
ders Jack Berman and Jack
Schwartz were elected president
and vice president, respectively,
of the Joint Memorial Day Asso-
ciation.
The association obtains Ameri-
can flags from the city of Detroit
for decorating all veterans graves
in the Detroit area.
Berman and Schwartz are the
first JWV members elected to
serve as officers of the organiza-
tion. The association is comprised
of all major veterans organiza-
tions in the state.
