the keynote lecture at the B'nai
David Cultural Forum 11 a.m.
Sunday at B'nai David, The
forum is entitled "Global -Jewish
Trouble Spots."
Ms. Peters will speak on "The
Arab-Israeli Conflict ... Who
Are the Palestinians?"
Peters has specialized in the
Arab-Israeli conflict for more
than a decade. Formerly a re-
porter for the Chicago Daily
News, she has written about
political matters ranging from
events in Central American and
the Soviet Union to the activi-
ties of the Ku Klux Klan, for
publications including Harper's,
Commentary, The New Republic,
The New Leader, The. Chicago
Tribune, and the Chicago Sun-
Times. She has also been on
special assignment for CBS and
PBS.
Ms.. Peters has lectured,
served as Wllite House consul-
tant on the Arab-Jewish conflict
and participated in national and
international foreign policy
forums. She is currently a vice
president of The National Com-
mittee on American Foreign
Policy, founded in 1974 in New
York by the late Prof. Hans
Morgenthau.
Ms. Peters recent book From
Time Immemorial: The Origins
of the Arab-Jewish' Conflict Over
Palestine, was the winner of the
1985 National BoOk Club
Award.
Her appearance' has been ar-
