Religious School and attends
Holmes Middle School in
Livonia, where she is enrolled in
the advanced placement cur-
riculum.
Participating in the bat
mitzvah service will be Melissa's
sister and brother, Stacie and
Matthew Levine. Sister Beth
Levine has flown in from the
University of Coloroda to help
Melissa celebrate her bat
mitzvah.
Melissa's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Barry V Levine. Her
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Lewis Klein and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Louis and Eva Levine.

with Lavik Vigdarova. Lavik's
family has repeatedly been re-
fused permission to emigrate
since his grandparents emi-
grated to Israel.
The twining ceremony sym-
bolically links Jason and Lavik.
Lavik will celebraate his bar
mitzvah in abstentia`since no
Soviet child under the age of 16
is allowed to pa'rticipate: in a
religious ceremony. '.
