Political Expert
To Speak at WSU

John F. Rothman, a
Washington-based political and
foreign policy consultant will
speak at Wayne State .Univer-
sity on Monday at 1 p.m. in
room 583 of the Student Center
Building. There is no charge for
the talk.
Rothman's topic will be "The
Truth About Talking Peace in
the Middle East."
Rothman is a consultant on
political policy and foreign pol-
icy, specializing in the Middle
East and in Soviet affairs. He
has served on the staff of var-
ious political leaders in the
course of hs career, among them
Richard Nixon and the late Sen.
Frank Church. He has been
active in Zionist organizations
including the Zionists of
America, the American Zionist
Youth Foundation (he is a
member of the national board of
trustees of the A.Z.Y.F.) and the
World Zionist Congress.
The talk was arranged by
Leonard Katz, a WSU under-
graduate, and former member of
the student board of the Hillel
Foundation at WSU acting on
behalf of the Hillel Foundation
and of the university political
science department.

Hillel Lounge, 667 Student Cen-
ter Building. His talk is spon-
sored by the B'nai B'rith Hillel
Foundation at Wayne State
University, as part of the 41illel
Foundation's ongoing involve-
ment in presenting a wide spec-
trum of views from Israel, and
in promoting understanding be-
tween Arabs and Jews on the
WSU campus. There is no
charge. •

Darouwshe has been speaking
on campuses in America under
the sponsorship of the Progress-
ive Zionist Caucus. He is an Is-
raeli Arab born in the village of
Axilir. He received his degree in
international relations and
political science from the He-
brew University in Jerusalem.
He has worked as the par-
liamentary. assistant to Knesset
member Abdullah Darouwshe
and at the Center for Peace in
the Middle East and in' the. Cen-
ter for Co-Existence in
Jerusalem.
Darouwshe was the coor-
dinator of Project Education at
the Hebre'w University.
He has worked in the School
for Peace at Neve Shalom and
has participated in many
Jewish-Arab dialogue groups on
campus and off within Israel. In
addition, Darouwshe has done
extensive work with Arab and
Jewish children's groups.
