Emanu-El will join for the third
annual inter-congregational
evening on March 16 at 7:45
p.m. at Temple Emanu-El.
Featured performer is Moshe
Shur, the Jewish minstrel, in
" S inging Songs of the Heart." A
former Detroiter, Shur has
entertained audiences through-
out the Americas, Israel, Au-
stralia and New Zealand.
In addition to his talents as a
folk singer, recording artist and
composer, he is a lecturer on
many aspects of Judaism.
Shur known in earlier days as
Mickey, attended Henry Ford
High School. He holds degrees
in history from Columbia Uni-
versity and in Hebrew letters
from the Jewish Theological
Seminary, as well as a law de-
gree from Wayne State Univer-
sity, an MA degree in Near
Eastern languages from Univer-
sity of Michigan and rabbinic
ordination from Jerusalem.
The Inter-Congregational
evening is open to the public

Shabbat Dinner
At Area Temple
Temple Beth Jacob will have
a congregational pot-luck dinner
at 6:30 p.m. today in conjunction
with the temple's recent Shab-
bat workshop. '
Temple Beth Jacob will pur-
chase the main dish and ask
that each family contribute
towards that purchase and bring
a side dish or dessert to share.
There is a fee. Children, under
two will be admitted fiee. For
